In 1898, Geyervilla was built on the peninsula as a place to rest by the lake. When the ownership of the property changed in 1958 to the Sichrowsky family, not only the name changed, but also the first guests were welcomed to the small fine hotel by the lake.
Today, as in the past, the Villa Postillion is the place to enjoy the sunshine glittering on the water and breakfast on the garden terrace. From here, one can also view the largest private beach in Millstatt am See, which includes row boats. The Bivouac Sunset I tramonto features a private bridge that leads to a 3000m ² garden near the water.
The Familienhotel Post is a family business in the center of Millstatt that offers a very personal touch. If you want to go fishing on the lake with Peter Sichrowsky, you can catch local fish called Reinanke and then have it prepared in the coat of arms room or “Wappenstüberl”, in the restaurant of the Familienhotel Post.
