We offer a house with history. Before the first tourists came and stayed at the "Post", there was more than one hundred years of history. The building was once a local financial office with a mixed goods store which was located next to the Elementary School and the post office with attached horse stables.
Only an 18-minute walk from the beach, this family-friendly, 3-star-superior hotel is located in the center of Dobriach on Lake Millstätter See.
The approximately 10,000 m² large private beach is divided into a play area and a sunbathing area. The "first row", near the reed belt, is reserved for the Biwak Schilf I canna palustre.
One night in the hotel: The newly renovated rooms are comfortably furnished with a new elevator. The hotel also features a library, a 400-year-old wine cellar, a cozy fireplace, a lounge, a garden with chestnut trees, a bar and laundry facilities.
A fire by the lake: In the dark the waves gently hit the shore, wood crackles, small sparks fly, and smoke swirls distort the view ...the Bivouac Reed | canna palustre has a firepit. Upon request, we will provide you with charcoal, cutlery, plates and grilling tools (surcharge € 20, -). We will also gladly do the food shopping for you.
A rowboat in the water: ready, set, go... a rowboat can be rented from the boat rental "Strandbad Sittlinger". One can make a trip to the Bay of Döbriach or to the Climbing Rocks of “Jungfernsprung”.
The Bivouac Reed I canna palustre in Döbriach is located in the east bay of Lake Millstätter See. In the immediate vicinity are numerous beaches, inviting you to swim, enjoy some ice cream or dinner, drink cocktails or play mini-golf.
How about a tasty sundae in the beach resort of Sittlinger, a game of miniature golf in the beach resort of Tschinder, or a cocktail in Charly's Seelounge? Charly’s Seelounge is at the other side of the bay (1.6 km from the bivouac) and is located directly on the water which is a perfect place for a sunset drink. The village center of Döbriach with shopping, restaurants and Sagamundo - the house of storytelling is about 1.8 km from the bivouac. During the summer months, the main square is also the venue for the Döbriacher market on Tuesday evenings.
